Fourteen Canons On The First Eight Notes Of The Aria Ground From The Goldberg Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach are, among the unpublished Bach's Works discovered during the last fifty years, without a doubt, the most important manuscript that allowed us to better understand the great German master's canonical art. This work, which was unknown for a very long time, came to light only in 1974, thanks to the French musicologist, Prof. Olivier Alain.
Among the many sources that inspired this project , we refer to the thesis by Donato DI PASQUALE , Genesis of the fourteen canons BWV 1087 by Johann Sebastian Bach ( University of Bologna). It is an integrated project which requires fair presentation and concert performance, both strictly live, dedicated to this masterpiece recovered in extremis from an oblivion's fate. Also expected to be submitted in concert and multimedia documents that will allow us to create a wonderful journey into the "workshop" of the great composer, while maintaining an informative and full accessible style.
